„Love Your Neighbour“ is located in the impoverished neighbourhood of Katutura and was founded in 2001 by Alida and Gerhard Swartz. Around 300 children are cared for here every day in a crèche, kindergarten and preschool. The vision is to create a friendly environment for the children in which they feel safe and learn responsibility.

On 28 July 2014, the entire buildings of „Love Your Neighbour“ burned to the ground and so far could only be rebuilt provisionally. The steps for children foundation would like to help with the development of the project, reopen the soup kitchen as soon as possible and purchase teaching materials and games for the different age groups.
