Holiday Club December 2015

K1024_DSCN4178Following the formal close of the school year, the holiday programme is now under way again. Our volunteers and teachers have received active support from Georgene, a secondary school pupil from Walvis Bay, who is helping out in Gobabis during the Christmas holidays. Here is a report on the first week from our volunteers:

„Well-established activities, such as the Olympic Games and Experiment Day, and new ones, such as making shell necklaces or papier-mâché crocodiles, were on the programme. The pre-Christmas period gives us ideas like Christmas cards, straw stars and carol singing. The number of children is steadily increasing; our maximum on one day was 112 children. Without the committed teachers, who also work during their holidays, none of this would be possible.“
