The Sprung-Wildenhain family also visited our steps project in Okakarara during their trip through Namibia. Inspired by the atmosphere and the commitment, the two girls, Alina and Jule, came up with the idea of starting a small fundraising campaign themselves.

The Advent season turned into a productive crafting time, during which the two of them conjured up candles, pearl stars, folding stars made from tracing paper and Christmas cards, among other things.

On the 2nd Saturday in Advent, they set up a small stand on the edge of Ravensburg town centre, where many people had to pass by on their way to do their shopping. Alina and Jule presented their products and asked many adults if they would like to buy something for a good cause. Many were interested and thought it was great that the girls had been there themselves and were able to talk about the project. After two hours, almost everything was sold.

Her grandpa was very impressed and together with some neighbours he doubled the turnover!

A small thought turned into an idea that led to a great realisation.

From a small thought an idea that led to a great reaction was.
