Student Lena Palm began her almost 3-month internship at the steps for children foundation on 23 November. We are delighted to have her active support and warmly welcome her! She is best introduced herself and her connection to steps briefly:
My name is Lena Palm, I study social sciences and I come from Aachen. After my Abitur, I worked for six months in a children’s home with children with AIDS in Namibia. In the process, I discovered my enthusiasm for development cooperation and sustainable educational support. So I began to get socially involved in Windhoek’s Katutura township. Now I support various projects there, which are especially beneficial to the children as Namibia’s future.
The latest steps cooperation project „Love Your Neighbour“ (November 2015) is one of them, and so I am particularly pleased that this has led to collaboration between the two partners, which enables the children to access balanced nutrition, healthcare and education. During previous stays in Namibia, I got to know the steps projects and staff on site, and I wanted to make my contribution there. After a wonderful partnership has developed on the Namibian side, I now look forward to supporting and getting to know the work of steps in Germany.

The student Lena Palm began their nearly 3-month internship at the foundation steps for children on 23 November. We look forward to their active support and warmly welcome you! Best puts themselves and their relationship to steps once before:
My name is Lena Palm, I’m studying social sciences and I’m from Aachen. After my graduation I worked for six months in an orphanage with AIDS-ill children in Namibia. I discovered my passion for development cooperation and sustainable education funding. So I began to engage socially in Windhoek in slums Katutura. Now I support there several projects that are in particular the children as the future of Namibia to Good.
The recent steps cooperation project „Love Your Neighbour ‚(November 2015) is one of them and therefore I am particularly glad that here was a collaboration between the two partners, which allows children access to balanced nutrition, health and education. In previous stays in Namibia I met the steps projects and local staff and I wanted to make my contribution there. After a nice cooperation has emerged on the Namibian side, I am now looking forward to support and get to know the work of steps in Germany.
