In February, the children of Rehoboth were looking forward to a special guest. Reiner Meutsch, founder of the eponymous Reiner Meutsch Stiftung FLY & HELP, and other guests from his foundation visited our two partner projects there. In recent years, the foundation played a decisive role in ensuring that “Heart for the Children” and “Otto Gamseb” each received a new school building and were able to accommodate additional children.

The Reiner Meutsch Foundation also recently financed two new classrooms for kindergarten and pre-school children in Gobabis. The great need of the children from the poor neighbourhood of Kanaan caused consternation among the guests. They were able to see for themselves how important steps and „Light for the Children“ are in this place, where they bring about change in the lives of many children.
For decades, Reiner Meutsch has worked tirelessly to improve educational opportunities for disadvantaged children around the world. He quickly established a connection with the children and staff in the projects – their shared passion for the cause unites them.
