A special delight during my tour through Namibia to the various steps projects was seeing the vegetable garden in Okakarara. Thanks to our consultant Gal Sirten and his foreman Paulus Marunga, but especially to the commitment of the five women from the community who work in the garden every day and sell the vegetables to generate their own income and supply the steps soup kitchen, a real showcase project has emerged there. The vegetable fields are in very good condition. 

 During the conversation, I thanked the women, but also clearly pointed out that we have not yet achieved our goal with regard to the planned yields and that continued joint efforts are necessary.
