Michael Hoppe has done it! After he had already been among the winners of the startsocial competition and received the dove of peace as well as the Federal Cross of Merit, he was awarded the Zugabe Prize by the Körber Foundation on 4 June 2019.

Michael Hoppe donates his prize money of 30,000 euros to steps for children. The prize money is intended to further improve children’s education in Namibia through the Schutzengel programme, support the training of teachers, and make it possible to take in additional orphaned children in steps homes families.

„Another part is to be invested in income-generating steps in order to create further jobs and generate income from the projects for the projects.”. “Organisational measures, better training for staff and new income-generating projects are necessary for this,” Michael Hoppe said.
