On 27 May, Nasrin Siege, children’s book author and founder of „Hilfe für Afrika e.V.“, visited our project site in Gobabis on her private trip. Hilfe für Afrika e.V. has been supporting aid projects in various African countries since 1996. Since 2015, steps has found a new partner and friend in the organisation.
In Gobabis, Nasrin Siege was warmly welcomed by Henk Olwage and the team and visited the pre-school as well as the steps homes in the adjacent impoverished neighbourhood. We are very pleased about the new cooperation with Hilfe für Afrika e.V. and would like to thank them sincerely for their wide-ranging support! In 2016, Hilfe für Afrika e.V. is helping to provide the children of the steps homes families in Gobabis and of „Boomerang“ in Windhoek/Katutura with winter clothing and blankets, as well as enabling follow-on funding for a teaching assistant.
