At the weekend we received very sad news from Okakarara. Our long-standing employee Catlain „Katjotjo“ Kangumine passed away unexpectedly and far too soon on the evening of 5 November.
Catlain gave Sonja Schneider-Waterberg active support with the coordination and organisation of the steps project. Catlain was an important team member. She always correctly assessed the situation among the staff and was the point of contact and mediator for the project’s concerns.
Recently, she also completed further training for the computer school, the ICDL course, in order to offer computer courses for children, staff and customers after completing it.
We have lost a loving, dedicated and reliable person in our team, and Catlain’s death is a great loss for our staff, Sonja and the project in Okakarara.
Our sincere sympathy and condolences go to Namibia to Catlain’s family, to Sonja and our steps team in Okakarara.
Today, 11 November 2015, a memorial service will take place in the hall at steps for children in Okakarara from 17:00.
