The motto announced today for World Children's Day by the German Children's Fund and UNICEF Germany calls for, to place the rights and needs of all children at the centre of politics and society . In doing so, the rights of children and young people who are seeking protection in Germany as refugees are explicitly included.                          

The Foundation steps for children wants to fully agree with this. However, we also take World Children's Day as an opportunity to point out that children worldwide need help and support.
