Golf for children in need in Namibia and Zimbabwe: For the third time already, Hamburg-based property developer wph Wohnbau und Projektentwicklung Hamburg GmbH organised a charity golf tournament for the steps for children foundation and, thanks to generous donations from the guests, raised proceeds in the five-figure range.
Particularly charming about the golf tournament held at Golfpark Weidenhof in Pinneberg was that both passionate golfers and beginners had the opportunity to play golf and at the same time do some good. Even though the weather on 5 September 2019 was very changeable, this did not dampen the good mood of all participants.
But it was not only the golf and the cheerful, motivated and happy faces that were the goal of the sporting day. Rather, the focus was on supporting the steps for children foundation. In addition to renowned artist Noah Wunsch, well-known companies such as Upstalsboom – Hotelresidenz & Spa Kühlungsborn, Hamburg Towers, Sturmfreie Bude Alster, Barclaycard Arena Hamburg and Teamgeist supported wph’s aim of generating substantial proceeds for the foundation by providing high-quality prizes for the raffle.

„We are very pleased that, through our personal commitment and fundraising, we can support the valuable and multifaceted work of the steps for children foundation. For several years, it has been a matter close to our hearts to stand by Dr. Michael Hoppe as a partner and to see that such clearly recognisable successes have already been achieved in Namibia and Zimbabwe.“, emphasises Simon Vollmer, Managing Director of wph Wohnbau und Projektenwicklung Hamburg GmbH.

We would like to sincerely thank the generous sponsors and guests for their incredible support and, above all, wph and Golfpark Weidenhof, because without them this magnificent event would not have taken place.
