There is no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes!

Golf for children in need in Namibia and Zimbabwe: For the third time already, Hamburg-based property developer wph Wohnbau und Projektentwicklung Hamburg GmbH organised a charity golf tournament for the steps for children foundation and, thanks to generous donations from the guests, raised proceeds in the five-figure range.

Particularly charming about the golf tournament held at Golfpark Weidenhof in Pinneberg was that both passionate golfers and beginners had the opportunity to play golf and do something good at the same time. Even though the weather on 5 September 2019 was very changeable, it did nothing to dampen the good spirits of everyone involved.

But not only the golf and the joyful, motivated and happy faces were the aim of the sporting day. Above all, the focus was on supporting the steps for children foundation. In addition to the renowned artist Noah Wunsch, well-known companies such as Upstalsboom – Hotelresidenz & Spa Kühlungsborn, Hamburg Towers, Sturmfreie Bude Alster, Barclaycard Arena Hamburg and Teamgeist supported wph's project to generate a high donation total for the foundation with high-quality prizes for the raffle.

„We are very pleased that we can support the valuable and multi-faceted work of the steps for children foundation through our personal commitment and fundraising. For several years now, it has been a matter close to our hearts to stand alongside Dr. Michael Hoppe as a partner and to see that clearly recognisable success is already being achieved in Namibia and Zimbabwe.“, says Simon Vollmer, Managing Director of wph Wohnbau und Projektenwicklung Hamburg GmbH.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the generous sponsors and guests for their incredible support and especially to wph and Golfpark Weidenhof, because without them this fantastic event would not have taken place.
