The steps for children Foundation
We enable children and young adults in southern Africa to break the cycle of poverty themselves through education and training.
Our goal is to create long-term income opportunities that offer people a secure life. Our activities are intended to be financially self-sustaining. We live our mission through entrepreneurial thinking and action and promote awareness in the local community of a self-determined way of life.
In the poorest regions of southern Africa, we focus on educational and training facilities for children, young people and adults. Orphaned children and families affected by poverty are given access to education, nutrition and medical care. As social entrepreneurs, we establish small businesses, create jobs and train our employees. The surpluses generated flow back into our facilities to finance their activities.
Our long-term goal is to become less dependent on donations and to achieve a social return by improving the lives of people in the local communities.
