The steps for children foundation
We enable children and young adults in southern Africa to break the cycle of poverty themselves through education and training.
Our goal is to create long-term income opportunities that provide people with a secure life. Our activities are intended to be financially self-sustaining. We live our mission through entrepreneurial thinking and action and promote awareness in the local community for a self-determined path in life.
In the poorest regions of southern Africa we focus on educational and training institutions for children, young people and adults. Orphans and families affected by poverty gain access to education, nutrition and medical care. As social entrepreneurs, we establish small businesses, create jobs and train our employees. The profits generated are channelled back into our facilities to finance their activities.
Our long-term goal to become less dependent on donations and to achieve a social return through improvements in the lives of people on the ground.
