In a joyful gathering with 55 guests, Ursula Kuckuk from Kaltenkirchen celebrated both her birthday anniversary and the promotion of her husband, Dr. Henning Kuckuk, at the end of February. The couple used this special occasion to collect generous donations for steps for children.

Mrs. Kuckuk became enthusiastic about steps for children through an acquaintance who had already worked several times in our project in Okakarara and with whom she sang in the choir ’82” in Kaltenkirchen. Since 2015, Mrs. Kuckuk has therefore been supporting a steps guardian angel child on a long-term basis.
The celebrant, a former foreign languages teacher at the Kaltenkirchen grammar school, has been working with refugees at the adult education center for several years now. There she teaches German in integration courses.
„Through contact with refugees, I gained a different perspective on flight and displacement and therefore consider steps for children to be of paramount importance as a preventive project“, says Ursula Kuckuk.
We are very pleased about this sustainable support and thank the Kuckuk couple as well as all the guests for the generous donations. In doing so, those involved are supporting one of our schools in Rehoboth. Many thanks!
