One weekend in July 2017, Felice Lohmann, Chiara Corleis and two other dedicated volunteers collected donations for steps for children in Hamburg city centre. As Felice and Chiara later reported, not only were lots of donations collected, but a number of interesting conversations also arose. The voluntary commitment of the pupils from Walddörfer Gymnasium was positively noted by passers-by.

We are delighted by the commitment of the 4 pupils from the Gymnasium. On the initiative of Felice Lohmann, who spent the Girls’Day at steps in 2015, the work of the foundation was presented during a freely chosen project period at her Gymnasium – the continuation was this wonderful fundraising campaign.

During a personal meeting in our steps office, we were able to pique both of their interest in visiting our projects in Namibia.

We are delighted by so much commitment and hope for more exciting ideas and activities from our new supporters, whom we wish a good start to the new school year and all the best for the future!
