For four days in March, the Liesberg family travelled to our steps project in Okakarara and Ongomombonde and did not miss the chance to lend a hand themselves.
Mother Eva devoted herself to the artistic design of the classrooms together with the steps pupils. Together they created a wonderful picture, which now adorns the wall and makes lessons even more colourful.
The Siblings Elia and Alva spent eventful afternoons with the steps children at the kindergarten – soap bubbles and balloon games provided movement and amazement. The two children enjoyed it very much. They got involved, and so a rainbow community emerged – two cultures united.
Father Ronny put his craftsmanship to the test at steps: he built various tactile boxes so that the pupils could learn with all their senses in the lesson unit „Land of Feelings“. In addition, a shelter for sports equipment was created. „The time in Okakarara was a lot of fun for us and was actually far too short,“ says the Liesberg family. They gave the steps children a great deal and are taking away many new impressions and experiences from the short but lovely visit to our projects.
Dear Liesberg family, thank you very much for your valuable help
in Okakarara and Ongomombonde!
