steps on stage at NfH Day 2018

„No matter how slowly you run, you beat everyone who stays at home“

This is the appeal that founding member Professor Dr. Michael Zacharias addressed to the visitors on 24 June at the Networker for Humanity Day in Fellbach. He enriched the program, which was inspiring and full of inspiration, and not only for the individual projects, but for every single visitor it was a very special experience.

Networker for Humanity e.V. (NfH) is a non-profit association based in Heidelberg that has been supporting humanitarian aid for people in need since 2004. Its goal is to promote suitable relief measures and projects with donations and membership fees, thereby alleviating suffering nationally and internationally and creating new prospects for the people affected. Most members are self-employed in their first or second profession and have recognized that togetherness strengthens.

This is how they want to help shape the future as a network and support those who, on their own, hardly have a chance anymore. Their motto: help people to help themselves!

Since 2008, we have not only been among the lucky ones, but also honored that Networker fo Humanity appreciates and supports the work of steps for children.

The association's annual program includes NfH Day. Members are invited to experience reports and ideas from the funded projects in a vivid way. In addition, lectures on fundraising, network marketing and philanthropy by Professor Dr. Michael Zacharias and Sabine Asgodom inspired reflection and discussion. The guests were motivated to take a courageous step and contribute to a better world.

Right at the beginning, attendees were encouraged to choose a heart project to support it. steps for children was also part of the program. Visitors could get to know us at our booth and in a short presentation on stage, look at products from our sewing workshop and satisfy their curiosity about our work. The long-standing cooperation with NfH means not only reliable support for our projects, but also enriches us with specialist knowledge and strong networking skills.

At this point we would like to say thank you: Thank you to the NfH for its wonderful and sustainable support and for inviting us to be part of it again this year. And thank you to the many members for their commitment to steps for children!
