wph – the Wohnbau- und Projektentwicklung Hamburg GmbH – is committed not only to the urban development of the city of Hamburg, but also supported our foundation for the second time with a charity golf tournament at the Golfpark Weidenhof in Pinneberg.

Among the participants – employees, friends, families and business partners of wph – our foundation founder also took an active part. While the weather impeccably fulfilled its role and graced the afternoon tournament with warm rays of sunshine, Michael Hoppe explored the extensive grounds in a golf cart. He visited each of the dedicated tournament participants to learn about the different golf clubs and the game. What did he learn? A lot.
Nevertheless, he preferred to take part in the tournament as an observer and encouraged the honorary guests Elizabeth Harases and Surelda Andrew, who had traveled all the way from Namibia, employees of the airline Air Namibia, to take their first golf lessons. We are pleased that the cooperation with Air Namibia, which has existed since 2016, is being continued. As a logistics partner of our foundation, the airline provides free flights, monthly free baggage allowance for shipments to the projects, as well as space for editorial contributions in the flight magazine „Flamingo“.
As part of the golf tournament, Air Namibia also donated a trip to Namibia including 5 days on site, to be auctioned off to the highest bidder in a silent auction.

A big thank-you goes to the wph team, first and foremost to Simon Vollmer and to the excellent organization by Elena Fedor. The generous five-figure donations go directly into our projects and support our steps children on their educational path!
And we can continue to rejoice: it has already been decided that this successful golf charity event will enter its 3rd round next year!
