On the weekend of 15 to 17 September 2017, numerous benefactors and donors accepted the invitation from the foundation Help with a plan for their 4th International Founders' Meeting - a welcome occasion to celebrate 80 years of Plan International with a wide range of activities.

The magnificent ambience of the Elbphilharmonie provided the setting for an excellent Saturday programme, which was very informative and highly entertaining to boot. The donor family was able to see the high-quality and sustainable work of the aid organisation for themselves. As on Friday, representatives from the project countries gave impressive presentations.

Michael Hoppe was honoured for his recently initiated collaboration with the Help with plan took the opportunity to present his commitment to children in need around the world. In a discussion with Dr Detlef Virchow, Head of the International Cooperation Department at Plan International Germany, he shared his experiences from 11 years of project work in Namibia and the transfer of expertise in relation to the new joint project in Zimbabwe.

Among the guests were also some donors and supporters of steps for children, who followed the thematic aspects of the event with great interest and considered it a special appreciation that the steps for children foundation in partnership with the foundation Help with a plan breaks new ground.

We would like to thank the organisers most sincerely for the all-round successful event and look forward to working with them in the future!
