On the weekend of 15 to 17 September 2017, numerous prominent donors and supporters accepted the invitation from the Foundation Hilfe mit Plan to its 4th International Donors’ Meeting – a welcome opportunity to celebrate 80 years of Plan International with a diverse range of activities.

The magnificent ambience of the Elbphilharmonie provided the setting for an excellent Saturday programme, which was very informative and highly entertaining to boot. The donor family was able to see the high-quality and sustainable work of the aid organisation for themselves. As on Friday, representatives from the project countries gave impressive presentations.

As a result of the recently initiated cooperation with the Foundation Hilfe mit Plan, Michael Hoppe had the opportunity to present his commitment to children in need around the world. In a conversation with Dr. Detlef Virchow, Head of the International Cooperation Department at Plan International Germany, he spoke about his experience from 11 years of project work in Namibia and the transfer of know-how in connection with the new joint project in Zimbabwe.

Among the guests were also several donors and supporters of steps for children, who followed the thematic aspects of the event with great interest and regarded it as a special sign of appreciation that the steps for children Foundation is breaking new ground in partnership with the Foundation Hilfe mit Plan.
