Africa traveller sparks curiosity – about Namibia and the STEPS projects

[:en]

On Friday, 4 August 2017, Mr Wolfgang Brune from Lilienthal showed pictures and videos in the summer garden of the restaurant „Bahnhof Neu St. Jürgen“ in Worpswede of his two trips to Namibia and Botswana in 2014 and 2016. On the second trip in May 2016, he also visited the nurseries of steps and his project partner in Windhoek and Okakarara. In Okakarara, he and his fellow travellers also stayed at the steps guesthouse.

„The motto of my lecture was ‚screen safari through southern Africa‘. There were 120 visitors to this event, to whom I was able to bring the diversity and beauty of the two countries Namibia and Botswana closer. I also reported on the work of the foundation steps for children. As I was there in person and had information first-hand, I was able to present the topic very authentically.

I did not charge admission, but asked for a donation for the foundation steps for children. In this way I was able to transfer a good three-figure sum to your projects.“

We congratulate Mr Brune on his successful campaign, which was by no means his first. Mr Brune also offers his lecture in the Hamburg area – please feel free to contact our office if you are interested: Tel. 040-389 027 88.

The steps team thanks Mr Brune most sincerely for his wide-ranging support!
