During his project trip in June 2021, Michael Hoppe met two of our Guardian Angel children, who attend school in the next larger town of Otjiwarongo and manage their everyday school life together here. The two Guardian Angel girls are in 10th grade and come from Okakarara. This is the location where the first steps for children project was established in 2006. The sustainable Guardian Angel Programme was launched somewhat later. Three of our Guardian Angel children have meanwhile been living in Windhoek since February. They have overcome the first major hurdle towards an independent life and started studying.
You can now become a Guardian Angel and enable a child from the poorest backgrounds to access education with 31 € per month.
