Small learning groups in the afternoon

Small learning groups in the afternoon

A brief insight into the daily tutoring sessions in Gobabis give us the steps homes and Guardian angel children. At the start of the school year they were still having difficulties, but now they are steadily improving. In particular, maths is causing some of them headaches. But with varied learning methods, including on the computer, good explanations and plenty of practice, that works too. The older Guardian angeland steps homes children can continue to come to the projects in the afternoon and gratefully make use of the learning and care provision in small groups.

Learning together is best.
Maths – a challenge for some. But with the right support and plenty of practice, our Schutzengel and steps homes children and young people are steadily getting better.
Focused work at the PC with learning software for maths.
A small maths competition is motivating.

Also in Otavi the steps children learn with Exeldra and Kassius in the afternoon and improve their maths and English skills.

Only a few of the children who come to our projects have the opportunity at home to do their homework in peace. They also can rarely count on support from their relatives, as these themselves had hardly any schooling. That is why the steps Schutzengel and steps homes children and young people take advantage of almost every opportunity to make use of the afternoon offer at steps.
