Small learning groups in the afternoon

The steps homes and Schutzengel children give us a small insight into the daily tutoring sessions in Gobabis . At the beginning of the school year, they still had difficulties, but by now they are steadily improving. Maths in particular gives some of them a headache. But with varied learning methods, including using the computer, good explanations and plenty of practice, they are able to master it too. The older children from Schutzengel and steps homes can continue coming to the projects in the afternoon and gratefully accept the learning and care services offered in small groups. 

In Otavi too, the steps children learn with Exeldra and Kassius in the afternoon and improve their maths and English skills. 

Few of the children who come to our projects have the opportunity to do their homework in peace at home. They can also rarely count on support from family members, as these themselves were barely able to receive any schooling. That is why the steps Schutzengel and steps homes children and young people take almost every opportunity to make use of the afternoon programme at steps.
