Vegetable growing at steps in Namibia At our project location in Okakarara, in the neighbouring village of Ongombombonde there has been a vegetable growing area of more than 1,000 sq m since 2014. Mostly under shade nets, but also outdoors there is all sorts of produce grown here: carrots, cabbage, beetroot and spinach. Peppers and chili are also included, along with melons and onions.
