Dr. Jürgen Reinert took a personal anniversary, his 50th birthday, as an opportunity to support steps for children with donations instead of gifts. The board of SMA Solar Technology AG had invited 70 guests, 16 of whom were from Namibia and five had traveled there.

“I was born and grew up in Namibia and I want to give something back to the country and the people. After good internet research and discussions with personal contacts in Namibia, I decided to go with steps for children when I called for donations. Jürgen Reinert.

Thanks to the donating guests, € 2.000 was raised - and steps can achieve an incredible amount with this, e.g. at the project location in Otavi, financing the annual salaries of 1,5 pre-school teachers, which Dr. Reinert is particularly pleased. His relationship to Africa is not only personal but also professional: SMA Solar Technology AG is a specialist in photovoltaic systems and is thus driving the decentralized, digital and renewable energy supply of tomorrow -
also in Africa.

The entire steps team would like to thank Dr. Reinert and all guests for this great fundraiser.
