A donor trip to our project areas offers sponsors the opportunity to see the work on site. Nine of our supporters from Germany were able to experience various project locations in Namibia up close in mid-November.
For some it was not the first project trip, including Anton Rathgeb, who has been providing steps with a variety of support for nine years. For him, as for others, personal impression counts. It was also heartwarming when the children spontaneously approached him and what joy they radiated, says Rathgeb.
For many, the personal experience gained on site by the people and children involved in the projects is one of the reasons for traveling to the African country. For four days, our supporters and sponsors were able to see eight of our projects and partner projects, such as Boomerang (Windhoek) or Light for the children Visit (Gobabis) with us.
The highlight and the simultaneous conclusion of the tour was the excursion with the Guardian Angel children to the Ethosha National Park. A big dream came true for the children in Okakarara. To see the wild animals in their own country that they only knew from books - that is what the children wanted. Thanks to some of our supporters, we were able to fulfill this wish. The children's eyes were very excited and curious on the day of the excursion. The joy was especially great when they saw the huge elephants for the first time.
We would like to thank our sponsors who made this trip possible. You gave the children an unforgettable day.
